| Guy Gantner Choi (Korea)
Although primarily a self-taught artist, Guy Choi moved to France to explore the universe of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artwork of European artists. The majority of Choi's paintings are set in Provence, Tuscany, and the Midi. These cities have many luminous and shadowed spaces contained by vertical walls of stone. Consequently, when paintined, these city scenes create spaces of visual absence and therefore a sense of solitude. Choi has received four honors at the Gusang Art Festival, and was recognized at the Korea Art Festival, the Hyundai Art Gallery, and at Le Salon in France.
