Scott Thorberg (Ballwin, MO)
Native to St. Louis, even in
grade school Scott Thorberg was placed in the gifted art program because of his unique and
very abstract style. Then at 20, determined to be a rock star, he dropped out of
college to follow his dream. He dubbed
his 1974 Monte Carlo the American Dreamer, painted it 15 different colors, and
headed for Southern California.
At 25, Scott realized that art was his real passion. Although he studied art history and took
some technique classes at a Community College in Huntington Beach, for the most part, he is self taught.
